Add a Portal Page

Need to Know

A Menu Page is a page that you access directly from the menu bar of your portal. The name of the Menu Page will appear in the portal menu bar. You cannot create submenus on an SCP Portal.

A Portal Page, by comparison, is a page that is accessed from a menu page. The name of the Portal Page will appears in the drop-down list when you click the name of a Menu Page.

What to do

Start at the Home page of your portal.
  1. Select Home -> Portal Content from the Home Page
    Portal Content Grid is displayed
    drop-down menu
  2. Click Add Page/Menu
    Add Record pop-up box appears
    (or ADD icon in right-hand column header of grid)
  3. Select Type = Page
  4. Select Menu upon which this page is to appear from the drop-down list
  5. Enter page Title
  6. Enter order number in which it is to appear on the menu
    (0=top, 99=bottom)
  7. Click Save
    Pop-up box closes and Portal Content Grid re-displays


  8. Continue by selecting the Member Groups that will be able to access this item
