======Clone a Portal======

===**Need to know**===
Avoid re-work by creating a standard portal template for your needs and cloning it for different audiences.
Or, if you are about to make major changes to your portal, create a back-up (a clone) first. You might need a copy just in case you delete content from the live portal that you wish you had kept.
===**What to do**===
1) Click the selection icon (first column) against your account >>**Account Properties** screen opens>>
1) Scroll down the screen to the **[[PortalsGrid Portals Grid]]**
1) Click CLONE icon (fourth column) >> **Copy users over..?** dialogue window opens (see above)>> against the Portal that you wish to clone
1) [Either] Click #%OK#% >>Dialogue window closes, your new portal is listed in the Portal Grid>> --- ---
1) [OR] Click #%Cancel#% >> **Clone portal without users...?** dialogue window opens >>
1) [THEN] Click #%OK#% >> Dialogue window closes, your new portal is listed in the Portal Grid>> --- --- ---
1) Continue by
- [[PortalTemplateChange selecting a Portal Template]] for the clone, OR
- [[PortalConentAccessRemove Amend the Member Groups]] allowed to access the cloned content, OR
- [[PortalContentGrid Amend the content]] published on the clone

1) Click green icon (far right-hand column header and footer) >> **Add Record** pop-up window opens (see above)>>
1) Enter Portal **Name**
1) Click **Calendar** check box if this portal is to have a calendar
1) Click #%Save#% >>Pop-up window closes, your new portal is listed in the Portal Grid>>
