Global Calendar
Description
All Portals feature a calendar where Account Owners, Administrators and Members can post events for the information of their team colleagues. Some event notices will be applicable to everyone, like team meetings, trade events as well as public and personal holidays. There is no need to enter such global events in every calendar. This is what the Global Calendar is for. Events posted in the Global Calendar will appear in the calendars of ALL of your portals.All Members associated with an Account will receive e-mail notification of events in the Global Calendar and in those Portal calendars that they have access to.
Global Calendars are associated with Accounts.
Start at the Accounts Grid on the Dashboard
- Click the OPEN icon (first column) against your accountAccount Properties screen opens
- Scroll down the screen to the Global Calendar Section
- Click Global Calendar The Global Calendar pop-up window will appear, as above
- Click Close X (bottom right-hand corner) when you have finished.
Functions
Calendar Views
There are four display modes: Year at a glance, Month by month, Week by week, and by Day. The amount of information displayed about events depends upon the presentation format you have chosen. For example, the time-span of an event is illustrated in the by-Day view, but only start and end times are visible in the by-Week or by-Month views. In the Year-at-a-glance view events are represented by a graphic. Hover your mouse over the graphic to see the details of that event.
Junp to a particular date
- Enter a date in the For Date search box You can either type a date in the box directly in dd/mm/yyyy format or use the Date Picker wizard next to the input box
- Click Go Calendar will jump to your chosen date
Navigate back and forward
Simply click the left (backwards) or right (forward) arrows either side of the calendar title. If you have chosen the Year-at-glance display, the backwards and forward buttons move scroll the calendar a year at a time. Similarly, when you're in the Week-at-a-glance display the buttons scroll a week at a time.
Add an event

View the details of an event
- Click title of the event Full details of the event appear in a pop-up box
- Click Close Window link (in top right hand corner)
